With eight different options for power, loss testing, leak detection and troubleshooting, the new line offers a comprehensive fiber optic solution. All the instruments feature high precision, versatile operation and fast measurement response. They're also exceptionally rugged, weatherproof and portable, and they have a long battery life, so they're ideal for practical testing in the field.

TFS-2000 Series Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers

Used for fiber structural analysis, the handheld TFS-2000 Series Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers combine speed, a wide dynamic range, a lightweight, portable design, and a short dead zone, all at an affordable price. This OTDR is simple enough for a novice to operate, and it's suitable for everyday use on a wide variety of networks. You can use the power meter and light source features to perform insertion loss tests, and do fast, easy trace analysis and reporting with the supplied software. The TFS-2000 Series brings all of these capabilities together in a rugged package to make field testing more productive, efficient and cost-effective.

 

TFS-3200 Series Optical Spectrum Analyzers

For multiplexing systems, Trilithic now offers a spectrum analyzer that's truly portable and rugged enough for everyday use in the field. The handheld TFS-3200 Series Optical Spectrum Analyzers can be used to analyze optical channels in WDM systems. It offers a fast, two-second scan with simple pass-fail results and an easy-to-read color display that shows your test information in table, spectrum, or channel form. The system stores up to 1,000 tests, and you can use the Windows-compatible certification software for fast and easy viewing.

 

TFS-FS1 Optical Leakage Detector

The TFS-FS1 Optical Leakage Detector offers exceptional sensitive fiber light detection. It is designed to pinpoint energy leaks in fiber optic systems from splices, connectors, breakage or bending, even in bright light. Simply sweep it over a fiber, and it notifies you of a leak both visually and audibly, making leak detection in the field simple and fast. You can also use the TFS-FS1 for fiber identification, and it's suitable for both long-distance and local testing, such as dead-zone areas or patch panel applications where exact pinpointing of a fault is critical.

 

 

TFS-290 Series Optical Tracer Sources

The TFS-290™ Series Optical Tracer Sources, when used with TFS-FS1™ Optical Leakage Detector, allows technicians to perform leak detection and long distance optical tracing. The sources provide the specific tone-modulated light output required by the TFS-FS1 and some fiber identifiers.

The TFS-290 Series of tracer sources feature a either a high power +5 dBm or very high power +15 dBm modulated output at 2kHz thereby allowing them to be used as tracer signal generators for use with the TFS-FS1 Optical Leakage Detector and most popular fiber identifiers.

 

 

TFS-FS1K500 Series Optical Leakage Detector Kits

The TFS-FS1K500™ Series Optical Leakage Detector Kits are designed to locate energy leaks in fiber optic systems due to splice loss, connector loss, breakage, or bending and to identify fibers over long distances. The kits are available in three different variations and are all housed in a rugged waterproof carrying case.

Each kit includes the TFS-FS1™ Optical Leakage Detector with wide band IR filter (128 - 1620 nm), TFS-TSA™ Aerial Lens & Scope Kit and your choice of either a light source or tracer source.

 

 

TFS-201 Optical Light Source

When performing attenuation tests on fiber links, it is necessary to have a stable source of light on which to base measurements. The TFS-201™ Optical Light Source provides the stability needed to allow accurate testing.

Trilithic’s new TFS-201™ Optical Light Source allows simultaneous operation of both outputs or individual operation with either CW, 30 Hz, 500 Hz, or 2 kHz modulation for use with leak detectors or fiber identifiers. The optical light source operates at 1310 nm or 1550 nm with ST, SC and FC adapters.

When the optical light source is used in conjunction with the TFS-301 Optical Power Meter relative measurements can be made to accurately determine fiber loss.

 

TFS-301 Optical Power Meter

Alone, the TFS-301™ Optical Power Meter is ideal for absolute measurements. When the optical power meter is used in conjunction with the TFS-201 Optical Light Source relative measurements can be made to accurately determine fiber loss.

Trilithic’s new TFS-301 Optical Power Meter features NIST traceable calibration at 4 wavelengths: 850 nm, 1300 nm, 1310 nm, and 1550 nm for accurate power level measurements.

 

 

TFS-401 Optical Loss Test Set

The TFS-401™ Optical Loss Test Set gives technicians the capability to perform fast and accurate measurements in the field. Triltihic's new optical loss test set is housed in a rugged waterproof carrying case and includes our TFS-201 Optical Light Source and TFS-301 Optical Power Meter.

Alone, the optical power meter is ideal for absolute measurements. When the power meter is used in conjunction with the optical light source relative measurements can be made to accurately determine fiber loss.
